Yhteys—Connection

Yhteys—Connection (2019) is a powerful almost abstract work that bridges the gap between the terrestrial and the ethereal. Dominated by a dramatic palette of deep charcoal, soot, and radiant ochre, the painting feels like a glimpse into a primordial landscape—perhaps a forest at dusk or the molten veins of the earth itself.

This piece is a statement work. Its dark tones provide a sophisticated anchor for a modern, minimalist interior, while the golden ochre hues allow it to pair beautifully with natural wood finishes or brass accents. Painted on a 4 mm plexiglass using acrylic colors and light molding paste. Finished with varnish that deepens the colours and protects the surface of the painting. The signature SM is found on the bottom left. Ready to be put on the wall, doesn’t need framing. Two-point attachment recommended, also compatible with one.

Though the artist has since moved beyond the name Mansala, the signature remains—a permanent mark in an ever-changing world. It reminds us that while life is fluid, art is enduring
